Fall Programs Continue PDF Print E-mail

Steiner Ranch continues to provide a variety of Children's (and some Adult) programs. Some programs have begun a new session in October. Email sharon@steinerranchhoa.org for registration information. Read below to find out detailed information.

Sportball will have Monday and Thursday Sessions beginning October 23rd for 9 weeks and Saturday soccer sessions for 8 weeks. Register using the Sportball registration form at www.sportball.us. Sportball will offer the following class: Multi-sport - development in 7 popular sports: Soccer, Hockey, Baseball, Basketball, Tennis, Volleyball, and Golf. Participants learn, rehearse, and refine sports skills in a positive, encouraging, and non-competitive atmosphere.

Parent & Tot - This program is designed to guide parents and their children through the introductory skills of 7 different ball sports. Parents are instructed on how to correctly assist their children in learning the skills of Hockey, Soccer, Tennis, Baseball, Basketball, Volleyball and Golf. Games and skills are taught in a fun and creative manner by using story lines to encourage participation. All programs are non-competitive and focus on success while building confidence. Programs are 45 minutes in duration.

Sibling Program - Older (5-7) assist younger (2 1/2 - 4) siblings as they participate together. An incredible way to build strong relationship and sense of responsibility between siblings. $153 for both children.

Soccer - non-competitive, skill based program that provides children with the opportunity to learn how to play soccer with the help of experienced coaches. Programs focus on the fundamental skills of soccer: throw-ins, kicking, dribbling and goalie skills. Children are taught to apply soccer skills successfully and confidently in soccer games.

Tap~N~Toes School of Dance will continue to offer classes on Monday, Wednesday and Friday that began the first week in September. Cost is $45 per month with a $15 registration fee. Dance must supply their own tap/ballet shoes. Dance will offer the following classes: Combo I Tap and Ballet for ages 3 - 5. For those who have never participated in Dance before. Will focus on 25 minutes of ballet and 25 minutes of tap. They will learn vocabulary, balance and grace.

Combo I, Level II Tap and Ballet for ages 4 - 6. Students with one year tap/ballet experience. Continuation of vocabulary, balance and technique.

Combo II Tap and Ballet for ages 6 - 8. Beginner class for those with no tap/ballet experience or for those who have not been in a dance class for 2 plus years.

Combo II, Level II for ages 7 - 9. Intermediate class for students with one year previous experience. Challenging class to continue to develop the dancers proper technique. Hip Hop for ages 7 - 13. Fun, age appropriate songs and dance moves that are continuously taught weekly and added to each class. Two dances are taught per semester.

Hip Hop Adult Shape Class - Cool, updated hip hop move are taught as you learn a choreographed dance. The first and last ten minutes of class are used to shape stomach and buns with moves that will show results!

KidzArt will offer classes Tuesday beginning October 18th - December 6th for a cost of $98 per session. Art will offer the following classes: Discover! for ages 3 1/2 - 6. Preschoolers are shown how lines and shapes fit together to create a complete whole. Much of Discover centers around teaching students to slow down and focus to see how the world around them is put together.

Imagine! for grades K - 5. School age children "power up" their creative energy! Through an interactive format of brainstorming and problem solving students learn to access the power of their imagination.

Basketball: A former professional player, Fabio Ribeiro, is now offering individual and small group lessons for all ages.
